Dinner Date

Date Night

When you’ve been married for 40+ years a ‘date night’ can mean

many things. We don’t need ALONE time since we have no kids

at home and can really spend as much time together as we want.

My most favorite person to spend time with and do life with

is still my husband, JR.

Recently, a rare thing happened….my 3 grown sons were in my

town together and we had a “date night’ with them. It was so

special since usually when we get together there is a large

number of family present also. (which I love!) One of my sons

remarked that we had not been together as our original nucleus

since probably any of them had been married. Wow!

That really hit home with me.

I really love all the seasons of life, having babies, having school

aged kids, then when all the chickens leave the nest. I believe God

prepares us for all those seasons and we should embrace them

and be thankful for each one.

The season I’m in currently is wonderful! I LOVE the flexibility I

have working from home, working out when I want to and the

travel that my business affords JR and I to do.

I’ll end with this:

A Time for Everything
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
